There are a fairly large number of rotary-powered flyers in the states and there are a couple of outfits building their own rotaries for aviation use.
Interestingly - check the uneven spacing on the exhaust ports :)

I noticed that - don't the mazda 20b's doing something similar too?

I've got an article on this company given to me by a freind at work (lots of people are ex aero industry). From what I can remember reading these ARE mazda engines but have been reworked for aviation use. certainly the article I read was using a 13B I have it sat on the windscreen of my 323 so I'll pick it up and scan it in tommorow

Certainly the bell housing bolts are in pretty much the same place - and from the glimpse of a rotor housing, they look very similar to Mazda ones.
