Ignition Light and the ones on the doors

Ignition Light and the ones on the doors ( inside )

all these are not working

will it be a simple case of the bulbs gone - or something else ?

i cant see it being a fuse as the interior light works fine

Any idea's

And how easy would it be to change the bulb behind the ignition ???

Oh yeah just thought - i read in the book that if the car is locked and you lift the door handle , a light shines for where you put the key - have any of you guys seen this in action ??

Just to confuse you, my Drop top had the Door lights etc working but the Int lights not.

Mine turned out to be a bad power (conection from the fues box)and was easly fixed.

Proberly somthing simalar, have you got a multi meter?

i have a meter yes

i was looking on the iluvmyrx7 site and you can check some 17 pin block connector on the ecu - but means nothing to me !

but im sure you have something else in mind !!

how do you get to the bulbs on the door lights ??

can you pull the covers off - or do you need to take the whole of the lower door off ??

On my T11 drop top when you lift the door handle a light shines out of the key hole slot but it is not brigth juet enough to see thr key slot. I've just picked up a T11 rolling shell today still a few bits left on mainly running gear but i will have a look to see whats behind lock. Is it only the ign light or have all the lights on that display gone out , the plastic panel round it comes out easy then the cluster just unscrews. If you need any bits let me know, they maybe something on the shell and it will only get scrapped
(bought rolling shell for engine, the car had a interior fire on dash but was written off then inported as salvage from Guernsey. the shell is in really good condition and seems too good to cut up but would be a lot of hassle to re register over here so dont know what to do with that one yet)

all the other lights work - its just the ones on the doors and the one about the ignition barrel ( although that seems to have started to work ! )

so you have the engine still ???

any chance of selling me a cheap oil filler cap !!!

all that was left on the car was doors, boot lid, carpet,hood mech and lifters,engine, box prop,back axle,suspension back and front to keep shell rolling and thats about it. will get some pics of it at weekend. if i've got a spare filler cap i will let you know you can have it for cost of post.
