Its getting nearer to the day when i finally get my first rex. I need to know how much the insurance will be but i cant get a decent quote without having a real cars registration number. All of the sites i can find that offer the quick qoute thing are far too much. All of the companies suggested on the forum require that you have a particular car in mind. If i cant afford the insurance i wont buy it!
I'm 23 and looking at getting a '94- Type-R with as near to standard engine as pos. I want it to have a '99 spec bodykit (or similar, i.e. C-west kit) GT rear wing and better alloys. It should also have done less than 40k miles. I have 1 years no claims. It will be a second car in a garage and do less than 8000 miles a year. I dont want to have to buy a tracker.

If that comes out as more than 1200 (is that possible?) quid I will get insured on my girlfriends policy as second driver. She's 30 with 1 claim of theft made.
Does anyone know of a quick qoute site that doesn't require the cars reg?
Tescos come out at 1535.10 with a tracker... Which is a bit much.

I may have to give them both a ring then, sounds good. Can it be insured as a classic if its over ten years old from Sureterm then? Is it fully comp or tpft? What sort of proof do you need to say that it's a second car, another policy on another car? How does that work?

Elephant.co.uk can stick right up their A**E! Poxy site, if they cant get that to work properly they ain't getting my money!
They're obviously a bunch of retards. Technical error, what a bloody cheek. More like ring us and make sure you're sitting down with a glass of water. Its given my the same technical error crap for the last 2 years, lol! I've heard it has to be paid in one lump sum anyway?
Can you get second car insurance if you have additional drivers?

Yes, if its over 10yrs sureterm will insure it as a classic. Its fully comp, and I was never asked to prove use of another car but was asked to list what they are with reg numbers.

Cheers
