Hi Gents,
Does anyone know if its possible to just insure the Rx-7 for a week in order to compile with UK registration?...
I am wanting to purchase a Rx-7 here, with the intention of bringin it back to Australia with me. (under the 12 month personal ownership rule). My problem however is i cant find cheap 3rd party insurance. (None actually, and is a heavy additional cost not making it feasible) In Australia i was able to insure my 300zx TT 1991 3rd part of the same as 150pounds. Here my minimium quote has been £7000 pounds.!.. for the Rx-7, due to being an outsider, under 25 etc, international licensce etc
Honesltly i intend to own the vehicle for 12 months, store it and then ship it back with me to Australia. (as these cars are expensive there).
Anyone know of a way i can register a Rx-7 under my name, however get through this compulsory insurance?..
i.e. could i insure the car for just 1 week during registration?
is there any other way to get cheap, invalid insurance for a claim, but valid for registration?.
Any help/suggestions/comments would be muchly appreciative!!...
Steven.
