I have purchased a 1998 RX7 RS. It will not pass the emmissions test for SVA. The lambda reading is 1.5 and needs to be between 0.97 - 1.03. Im tearing my hair out as noone can help. Any Ideas?

Hi Mark,
where are you having it done at svaukltd in southampton docks ??
I had the same issue back in the summer with a 98 it has to go through the default emmisions test as there is no model report for them yet. I should be taking care of that in January.
If you contact Geff at gp autos in portsmouth on 02392-831-213
he did mine a for me back in the summer. As far as I know he's the only one in the country that can tweak them to pass the test.
Good luck mate let us know how you get on.

Brian you are a star. Ive spoken to Geff , he is going to do the work for me. He remembers your car and you and says that my readings are exactly what yours were. He recons it wil cost about £500. Mark

Well done mate!!
gettng the reading down to pass the lamba proves to be a right pain for an rx7, but I'll be getting a model report early next done for an rx7 which should solve all this nonsense people have to go through to import a post 97 version.
Regards
Brian
