MOT questions

I'm doing a deal on an RX7 and the guy has faxed me over 2 MOt certificates [the car is 98 so thats all there are]

There are a couple of differeces on these and I am looking for advice as to the importance of these.

1/ Slight difference with the ID No. One has an '8' the other a '3' could be a genuine mistake.

FD35 421812
EFD 35 421 312

2/ One has the year as 98 [what I was told] the other 92

3/ One of these is a duplivate

4/ I cant read the MOT station details on either of them [but they are faxed]

Am I right to be a little concened?

That should be FD3S too .... not a 5

I wouldn't be too worried about the numbers ... like you say could be a genuine mistake ... I would be worried about the years though ... 1992 or 1998 ... obviously its an import if its a 1998 but it seems an odd mistake to make ... I think the MOT station should be embossed into the cert so it probably won't fax properly
