I read about that in Retro last year, really impressive bit of kit and very well put together. Shame the guy's sold it really.

Is there any way we could get in touch with the new owner, and tell him about R3, or perhaps he already knows and may turn up!

Apparently the chap who won it on ebay has sent the guy a deposit but he sold it to someone else before ... not sure whats going on but I can probably find out who the new owner is.
Someone did point out that it did look a little dodgy as all the photos of it were taken from the Retro cars mag ! Was it really for sale ?!

if you can find out mike i'd be interested to know. not got the cash right now having just bought the cosmo but something like a skoda esteele with that sort of power really appeals to my sense of humour!

Theres like 3 people who are supposed to have bought it....
seems strange.....
I know the old owner (the guy selling) as ive had 'dealings' with him in the past, and no doubt will have further 'dealings' in the presence of others in the future.....
If the engine has had work to produce the 206BHp claimed, then its sat in the back of my garage, and he would have had to have had the same work done to the 'new' engine in the skoda....

he seems to suggest that the standard output is 206hp ... that a bit much even for standard TII lump :xconfused

I know the owner(well the seller). 'Jerry'
I actually had a hand in putting this engine in with him.
The car itself is 'mint'... Everything was well put together.
Haven't spoken to him in awhile but believe he sold it to start another project. He's a mentalist... Mad scientist type... top bloke!
I'll drop him a line if you need more info on the car!
