Hi all,
I know this has been discussed before, but I couldnt find the thread, so bear with me :p
I've ordered a 99 spec front bumper, and I was told that there was no need in buying a 99 spec support bar, modify the old one would do.
Now, I cant help but thinking there must be a good reason for Mazda to have spent time and money developing a new one. Afterall, their moto has always been "if it aint broken, dont fix it". ;)
I know Im probably just being fussy. Just wondering that if there's any real advantages in fitted a 99 spec one?

:cheers

Hi Jj,

I kept the early main under bumper on my car but found I had to cut the holes in each end bigger to accomadate the larger side/indicator units.

Hope this helps.

Hi Clive,
Yeah, Im aware that I can modify the old one to fit. Was just wondering if it was worth it to invest in a proper 99 ones. :cheers

i think a new 99 one is mucho dinero..most people just adapt them for this reason.mine is a 95 with the later indicators so needed to be cut.not by me but in japan before import

I take there isnt much point in buying a 99 support bar then. :)
