I finally got my car back together after the turbo died the day before Japshow at the end of October.
It now has a new turbo, (GT35/40) I have also increased the capacity of the fuel system as it was hitting high injector duty. I was happy with the figures on the rollers last time but more is always nice.
The turbo is smaller than the last one but is a much more modern design so hopefully it wont restrict power too much.
Oh, and i have also fitted a Nitrous Oxide Systems kit. I have got small jets fitted but it will be interesting to see what sort of power increase (if any) i get and whether or not it dumps the apex seals through exhaust ports when i hit the button! There dont seem to be any published results of NOS on rotary engines
The system is full and ready to go but i am being restrained and waiting until i go for a mapping session! :2Confused
What do people think, will i need the AA to bring me back from ReWorx??? :3Confused

Search about on rx7club.com. There are people there that use it with good results. Seems like you need to stick to simple kits and basic parameters to avoid back fires etc. Generally its good stuff. Also i think you may get info from ausrotary as its very popular over there as well.

I was going to use it as with a small jet for cooling more than anything, most dont go over a 75 jet.
Will have a range of kits coming in stock soon and will also be refilling.
Be interesting to know your results.

You're running a 25 shot Ant? We ran 3 or 4 different jets sizes on my red car with good results ;-) To be honest tho, you can hardly feel a 25 (even 50) shot on a car with 300+ at the wheels to start with. But the cooling effect is major - the intercooler piping practically frostsopefully your apex seals should be ok...mine got battered on the dyno for weeks trying this and that out, 1/2 the time running normal unleaded which I often forgot to mention to Geff/Max :rollin
We seeing u soon then mate?

well the tripple is coming to you soon, so i will try and tie in bringing mine down with picking that up depending on how you guys get on tuning it. Aiming for something like the 27th Feb, but i dont know how long you will take with the tripple, hopefully it only needs tuning.
I have put the smallest jets i could get which are 60 bhp allegedly, i have loads of other fuel and NOS jets to tune it. It has a progressive controller so it should come in quite nicely.
The only issue i can see at the moment is fuel pressure. The mixture of fuel and Nos on a wet kit is controlled by jet size and the pressure of the fuel and nos, I have T'd off the fuel system but on a turbo car the fuel pressure rises with boost which will make the mixture more rich as boost is increased, unless of course it doesnt switch on until i'm on full boost, but then the whole point of the prgressive controller is to switch it on earlier.
Nos pressure is sorted as i have a bottle warmer controlled by a pressure switch, bottle pressure is supposed to be at 900 - 950 psi but i have just had it filled and in this weather its only got 600 psi. This is all a new learning experience for me.....
Worst ways is i run another fuel line and another pump and regulator with fixed fuel pressure.

a rotary can take a 300hp shot of N20 (for some period of time LoL) ... just ask the Peurto Ricans !

Mike,
I will try a 300 hp hit of nitrous if you pay for a new engine and fix the hole in ReWorx roof where the engine goes into orbit!

The nitrogen acts as a cushion to detonation in the mix of N2o as long as there is the right amount of fuel to go with the amount of N2o you are running.
Just make sure that if you run a fair amount that there is enough fuel for the N2o and also the additional turbo boost that will be generated by the N2o.

Carl
