OK I've almost bought a 98. 3rd Gen but I now need to check all the numbers etc.

So - where are the engine and chasis numbers located and is there anything else I should check.

Excellent news!

If you have a look at this thread (of a new RX-7 in Japan) you will see what the Chassis Number plate looks like etc (photo's there):

As for the engine number (if you need it) - it will be very hard to spot on the front "End Plate" of the engine - near/under the alternator.
