Hi all, I have only had a very limmited experiance with painting cars. I have done about 3 of them, not to show standards or anything. Just something I really like doing and love to see a freshly painted car.
But anyway, I am about to do my engine conversion on the morris minor and am wanting to re-paint the engine bay whilst the engine is out. Can someone please educate me in the types of different paints in the uk. We have slightly different names for the different materials used in OZ. I have no oven to cook the paint so 2 pac is out for me. What s enamal paaint called here? Is acrylic still acrylic?
Also does anyone know where I might be able to source paint online? I will be in Glasgow this week so if any scottish people know of any decent motor factor places could you please inform me?
I have a compressor and a gun,(I think I have a gun, if not I can borrow one of a friend, if he is back from spain!)
cheers and thanks for any tech support. michael.

Use QD poly at work Michael its easy to spay, quick air drying with good thinners and gives a decent hard finish. You can pick it up from just about any paint suppliers. Might be worth a search on yell.com for a local supplier for you.
