my cats blowing.take it is died or is dying. cant afford to get it decatted at the mo as i know wots involved.
would a knackerd cat:
a) make my idling crap (mate had his cat go on his mazda v6 and it played havoc with his engine. didnt like going above certain speeds idled crap etc. my thinking is that is the cats busted or blocked in some way then the lambda sensor will get mixed messages and in turn send those messages to the ecu. yeh or no. am i totally off target with this.....? :xconfused
b) make my fuel consumpsion total and undeniably the worst ive ever seen!! talking about 10quid bp ultimate gets me 25/30 miles? :Grrr
hope someone can shed some light....

PS mods are only, well hardly anything. i hav blitz twin induction kit, but gonna make a fat heat shield for it when i sort the idling problem (and kill the mad cow in there when the induction kit is on). have put the standard airbox on for the mean time, just put a catback system on it. hks bov (was on the car when i got it)
