Fair play... And has a valid point.... More damage cud be done at 70mph wit the motorway full...

I recall a similar case about 5 years or so back. A bloke in his NSX doing 150 or 170 (I did have the article - if I find it I'll post it). The judge said the same thing.

Ian, I think the NSX case was different in that they tried to do him for dangerous driving, whilst his barrister proved that the car is designed for that speed and thus not dangerous. Or something along those lines.

I did hear of another one - can't remember all the details. Think it was a Supra being chased by a copper. The driver was in court as they intended do him for 120ish mph. The judge let him off - because of the gradient in the road they kept loosing line of sight which they have to have for like 1/3 of a mile for a speeding conviction - lucky soup!
