View Full Version : A word of warning...

Just a quick message to issue a little warning really.
I bought a 91-95 Apexi PFC & Commander off a guy called 'Tidesending' on eBay for £400.
What I received this morning was an old beat-up standard rx-7 ecu that's been modded by RE-Amemiya. :Grrr
Just wanted to let you all know so that you stay clear of this dude when looking at potential purchases on eBay.
Guess it's going to be a long drawnout process of trying to reclaim my money. :3Confused

Have you contacted him about this? He has a good feedback rating, and is selling an ECU as you describe - so maybe he's just got the orders muddled up?

Try direct first, then ebay, then after that go to your credit card company and they will get your money back! I had a problem with a guy who I'd paid for a bumper and I never got it.

I've bought things from tidesending and never had a single problem, post the link up to what you won.

Yeah, I've contacted him.
I did consider that he could have just dispatched the wrong item, but there's a world of difference in looks between an apexi ecu with commander and a gnarled old battered rx-7 ecu without commander.
I guess I just don't trust people on eBay. Too many stories of people paying good money and getting fleeced.
If a mod wants to delete this thread until my situation has reached a conclusion then I'll understand.
Just wanted to warn people to be on their guard though.
Darran.

I thought he might have done. He had 100% record on everything he's sold, so i couldn't have seen him getting the order wrong on purpose - believe it or not, some people in this world are still trustworthy!! :)
I know I am! :D
