Got a few questions for you fc guys.
Do they come with LSD?
How heavy are they?
Good to work on?
How much should I pay for one roughly to bash around drifting?
Are the n/a's any good or should i try and find a turbo one??
Are they group 20 like FDs?
Do you need shares in shell like an FD?
Are parts easy to get for them?
thats about it for now :p
seen this pic and just thought it was a must for an fc.

1) most have an LSD
2) similar in weight to the FD
3) not as easy to work on as a gen 1 but there is more space under the bonnett than an FD
4) for a good FC (turbo II)I'd say pay between £1900 & £2500 more if it's work done for an good EGI £1000-£1500
5) not sure on that one never having owned an EGI, but most of the EGI owners here say they are great
6) group 18 ins I believe (but you can go classic policy)
7) yes they are thirsty!
8) parts are easy to find there are always FCs being broken and Tim over at RX Motors has a barn full of spares.

the EGI's are great - i had one prior to the TII
you dont get the sudden rush of power when the turbo spools , but it means you can attack corners without the fear of the turbo spooling at the wrong point
and i agree with sadgoth with the other comments

EGI is group 16 I belive, the groups then scale upwards for the TII and cab.
Although some came with an LSD its a friction plate type and many are now well worn and no better than an open diff.
It all depends on what you want out of the car, a TII is going to be much faster out of the box, but the EGI is much more chuckable and forgiving, even when tuned to 200+bhp.

the egi doesnt have much option for tuning other engine work during a rebuild, the only thing you can do is put a straight through exhaust and an air filter, remove the air pump also helps.
There has been much discussion abouth the LSD in a TII, from my experience, most UK models Dont have them, the early turbo, 86 - 88, (series 4, not made in the uk) had the clutch type diff (which is actually the same unit put in the US model GSL SE 1st gen).
The Efini (Series 5 Jap import special edition) had LSD as standard but very few uk series 5 models had it as it was an expensive optional extra, the ones that have, use a mechanical one very similar to the FD.

cool, can you get hold of a 2 way diff for them and if so what sort of price you looking at and how hard would it be for a noobie to learn to fit.
