One of the last ones built going by the year and may possibly be a 20b. Though as the date is from Aug on the photo its probably gone now.

It says 2.6 which I would have thought means 13B ;)

Listed as having ABS which was stock on the 20b and a optional extra on the 13b

Apparently it's an Aug 95. Chassis No. J3CS-100307. 73000 Km. Imported Aug 05 by the dealer due to boredom selling utility cars!!. Modena alloys. Looks very tidy. Needs a wash!!

Hi there, just joined the forum as i bought a Cosmo, and its this one! I was very surprised to see it. Im new to the Jap rotary thing, my last car was a Chevy G20 dayvan! Similar comfort, but not as entertaining to drive as this is! :D
Are there any meets in Berkshire?

Well done hope you got it for a good price as its been there for a while. Are we going to see you at some shows this year? Don't want to badger you into joining the forum after your first post but if you've not got the insurance sorted yet you can save a fair chunk as a club member with a lot of the companies.

Welcome to the Club.

Great to see the Cosmo sold and in the road.
Also one big temptation now removed. It's still on the pocketasavers website. I looked yesterday. (see how tempted I was!!).

Next biggest Mazda event is Brooklands on 2nd April.

Myself and Martin Yates are doing the Farnborough & District Motor Club Solo (cone dodging) this Sunday in Bordon in Hampshire in our RX-7s.

Look forward to getting a ride in your new Cosmo.

Hi all, thanks for the warm welcome.
Got a good deal with it, less than asking price with 6 months tax, warranty, cat 1 alarm.
I do want to join the club, got insurance through Flux already £525 fully comp. (is that any good?)
Interested in going to Rotorstock, may also try and make it to the Bordon event so you may well get your ride then Noyz :)
Looking for information about interior lighting (guess not in this part of the forum) and ICE installs, want to put a dvd head unit and 1 or 2 monitors in possibly into the sun visors.

What spec interior have you got in there? To be honest the wiring is a bit of a nightmare as regards the in car entertainment. Easiest option is to start from scratch and put in new wiring as its quite a complicated layout for the ccs and the amp thats mounted in the rear seat armrest tends to overheat easily due to lack of airflow. Trim removal can be a pain also as nine times out of ten you need to remove two pieces to get to the one you want. as you get specific problems give me a shout as there's not a lot on my car that i've not had apart or modified now.

Aparently not Kev.

I recently worked out through my limited Japanese that the series-II version from 94-95 had the ABS & LSD as standard for the 13B model.

VINs help a lot to determine that.

eg...... JC3SE-100307 = series-I, car #307, 13B version
eg...... JC3S-100307. = series-II, car #307, 13B version

Its a 13b 'sx' spec, yes it has abs and an lsd on it, is there a translated owners manual available?
The end of the needle on the speedo is a bit intermittent, is it repairable?
Guess i should continue this discussion somewhere else on the forum :)
I'll post some new pictures of it this week :D

You can strip the dash to get to the needles though its not a two minute job. You need to remove the flat strip that runs under the dash this is on spring clips. Also you need the top section of the dash removed, for this either end of the dash there's a plastic cover roughly triangular in shape about 40x20mm these lever out with a screw driver under this there's a 10mm bolt that needs removing one of these either end of the dash. Onto the top of the dash there's a sensor right in the centre just behind the screen this levers out about 3 inch down the cable there's a plug to undo and remove. Either side of this you have a tweeter once again lever these out and unplug under both tweeters there's another 10mm bolt this is a pig to get to due to the screen but can be done. once these two bolts are out you can remove the top section. You can now see the screws that secure the black plastic screen remove these and the screen. You can now finally get to the screws that secure the dash in place ease it away until you can unplug the looms and take it inside to strip the dash unit, its all screwed together. Whilst its out i would recommend changing all the dash bulbs at the same time. Before putting the black plastic perspex panel give it a good clean it makes the dash much easier to read. Pretty sure i remembered the correct procedure but if you have any problems don't hesitate to ask. I don't think people will mind you posting in this section as there's not many Cosmo posts on the forum and you might get lost in amongst the seven posts in the tech section.
