Well then I am facing a dilemma which may be familiar to some.
I have a D reg series 2 non-turbo which I have been using as my main car for about a year now. It is mechanically sound and makes me happy most if the time.
There have been a few problems along the way but I have kept on going when others have questioned my thinking.
It just failed the MOT because of a few spots on the chasis which have rusted through and I have to get it in for some welding anyway. ( I have been quoted £200 for this.)
Anyway I feel that the body lets her down a bit and I feel the time is right for either selling and moving up ( to another rx) or getting a respray.
How much should I expect to pay for a respray in it's original white? Apart from a few rust spots around the sun-roof and near the wheel arches it is pretty sound.
I have more or less decided to go ahead but I just don't want to get ripped off.
