Hi all, I’m looking for inspiration for an install. I’ve done a few before they were ok, but nothing that stands out from the crowd. I’m pretty handy with electrics and systems so I’m going for some thing that moves this time. Along the lines of fibre glass/carbon fibre (which goes missing from work for some strange reason) casing that opens/slides to reveal amp or subs throw in a few lights and were away. Any ideas much appreciated I’ll post pics as it takes shape! :Hammer

It all depends on how well you can get the finish on the bits. If its painted or cabon fibred then the finish will have to be perferect or every imperfection will show up in the paint.

You could go for alkintera or vynil (sorry bad spelling). You will need a heat gun and contact adhesive for the fabric options. Make sure that the material will stretch properly or you won't be able to get the creases out.

ive got all the tools and a free workshop at work, carbon fiber and fiber glass. The carbons a bit harder but with the fiber glass i usually fill any imperfections before sanding and priming always worked. Never done anything more than seat repairs with carbon fiber but ill have a bash on a small mold later this week and see how it goes!
