Has anyone ever looked into Buying a new Hood for a T2 Convertable?
I am in the prosses of Buying a car that is in need of a new hood (2" cut in roof).
Does anyone know roughly how much they are and who can supply one?
Also if replacing the roof is a Do able job or would it need to be done at a proper Hood place?
Thanks
Chris

sorry about not knowing the name - but standish isnt that big of a place !!

I had a new hood fitted by Gibson and Turner in South Wales. I phones around a few companies listed in Yellow Pages under Car&Commercial Trimmers. They could all get hold of the rear section of the RX7 roof and would fit. Mine cost about £300 fitted and I'm happy with it - it's even water tight!

It was an entirely new hood with the exception of the hard top section. Phone no. 01495 244638. But, it appears many companies can do it, so I recommend finding someone local in your yellow pages under car&commercial trimmers.
