Finally started up the westfield after about a year. For a fresh rebuild it fired up remarkably quickly. Still a lot of issues to sort out but should be down for the MOT sometime next week.
So if you see a small purple and VERY LOUD car around hampshire you'll know who it is :-)

Well done Bill if all goes well maybe we will see you at Santa Pod 12th Oct.
Be good to see with your power to weight ratio what time she would run.
All the best Clive

Quick update,
After finding a major vacuum leak I've rejigged the inlet manifold and idle is now more under control.
However I've messed up the oil metering, so it's back to premix for me.
Tonights job: hacking a hole in the bonnet for the air filter :-)

Talking of westfields, I have a 99% complete one that I want to sell. I moved into my new house about a year ago, and ever since I have not had the money or time to finish her off.
If anyone is interested, don't hesitate to reply to this thread, or email me!
Brief info is:
Engine: 1.4cvh, twin 40 webers
Live rear axle
Detachable rear wheel arches
British racing green
Not yet SVA'd.

Bill,
I was speaking to a good friend of mine yesterday, as he is servicing my 7, and he mentioned that he's always wanted to put a rotary into a Westfield........well he had a giddy fit when I mentioned that it had already been done......
Is there any chance you could give me some specs (and finer details)and maybe some photos of what you have done ?, so I can forward them onto him as proof......he may then be attempting it himself !
If you can't be bothered then dont worry.......
Cheers
Ben

Sure. I have 2 films that need developing and I keep forgetting. Its looking very sad again as i put the wrong clutch in and then got a job so engine is in but undressed. Intend to rectify that soon.

Thanks Clive
Trying to help a guy about a 13b powered Kit car he wants to build.
If I works I might be tempted to sell my rx and do one my self.
