Yeah there is, I had this on my passenger one. What you need to do is pull the trim inside off, its behind the door lock section but inside the car, It will just pop off, then I think there are 3 bolts if I remember, If you undo those it enables you to take the outside trim off, be careful with the handle itself, then you can get to the mechanism, give it a good spray with WD40 and leave it to soak for about 30 secs to a min. Then try opening the handle, spray some more off and it should go lighter after a while. Just make sure you have sprayed plenty of WD40. After that its just a case of bolting the outside trim back on and hey presto....door fixed.
Dont leave it till later mate otherwise the handle will snap as its only made of plastic !!! these arent cheap if I remember.
Easy to fix, mine hasnt given me any probs and its been over a year since I did it. The benefit is that no water seeps into this area so once you have WD40'd it you should be sorted.

Gareth is right,
don't put it off, do it. Mine got tight and hard to lift (oh er!!) and within a week I had to buy two new door handles from Mazda at a cost of over £200. Not to mention I had to get in the car via the boot!
