Forgot to post this,

Me and Donato got a chance to test drive the new RX8 amongst other mazda's at Knockhill in Edinburgh.

Well very happy to say i couldn't believe how well the RX8 drives, very comfy even i got in the back no problem with loads of leg room. Can hardly hear the engine and the interior is very well layed out it must be said.

Only draw backs coming as i drive a high powered rx7, is that low down power is dismissive but once over 5000rpm picks up rather well, the braking system is very impressive as if you stamp the brakes you can let the steering wheel go and it will still brake in a straight line :D

Overall would deffo get the wife one, but for myself more power required, maybe the super-charged one will be quicker ?

MORE POWER. I second that mate ;-).

But Gurj, you don't need brakes or power because it will go around any road corner at any speed ;)

1/ Accelerate to your chosen speed.
2/ Follow B-road using only steering inputs and slight throttle adjustments.

(OK, maybe not the hairpins on Route Napoleon...)

^ This is so true Zack. Probably the foremost reason that keeps the grin factor for rx8 drivers is the way they corner :D :yes . If I ever get the chance to ask the local owner of a fast Supra what he thought of being passed (safely) on a particular bendy bit of road, when plainly his motor would destroy an 8 in a straight line, I'd love to hear the excuses (not to mention that I was revving well below 8 grand due to low mileage :eek ).

RX8's love cornering - period, and are well up to the challenge out of the crate.

More power would be nice for the take off and straight line stuff though :( ;) .

Ok well if you insist :Talking1

Gurj decided to treat the Mx5 slalem as more of a demolition derby. As a passenger i felt very safe, i wouldnt like to have been part of the audience though ;) :driving

As we all know, that's what the cones are there for, specially when some bugger has put gravel all over the corner exit...
