Interesting discussion thread just started over at the RX-8 Forum.

I see you are now famous Glen.

Anybody any views on seperate clubs for RX-8 or would it be better for everyone to group under 1 banner.

Tricky one to answer, I could so easily put my foot in it but hell I've got two of them... :D

The MazdaRotaryClub will try and work with any other rotary club to the aim of promoting the rotary scene.

People will always want a club specific to that model car that they drive.

I thought Mazda rotary club would be generic enough to cover all rotary vehicles ? maybe people will want an RX8 specific club though ?

It will be a shame and disapointing if a full blown Club fires up for Glenn and myself as the RX-8 was one of the main reason's that A, the club was formed in the first place and B, why Mazdarotaryclub has no model tag in it's name so we could encompass all Rotary's from new to old

We both had the belief in Mazda that they WOULD build the RX-8 when no one else thought they would and have tried to prepare ever since for the owners of these new cars to have somewhere they fitted into properly , having said that we already have a few RX-8 people that have joined the club as full members that have no previous Rotary experience including a moderator from the main RX-8 American Forum who lives in England !

Just an observation and far from a criticism but from what l see though there are not very many U/K owners on the RX-8 forum when you consider Mazda have now sold 1400 RX-8's.

And time will tell but it would seem that Mazda marketing have got it right as they are this time not targeting particularly enthusiasts but trying to prise people from normal cars into the RX-8 and not from other sports cars as they would have had to do with the RX-7.

If any of the RX-8 Forum people are looking at this we not only welcome you with open arms but also already have an insurance scheme set up for these cars which should more than save the £15 membership fee that we charge to join our club.

BTW we also own

and www.RX-8Club.co.uk

Must admit I have no strong feelings either way just at present. Best thing will be seeing loads more rotary cars around next year.

I guess we will just have to wait and see how it all evolves or should that be revolves as more people "join the revolution".

Hi all,

I have replied in the other Forum, see what people have to say. I do have concerns about yet another rotary club in the UK.

I'm sure it will all unfold soon, but Clive has hit the nail on the head so far as - that is why we set www.mazdarotaryclub.com up in the very first place.
