Do the head unit and cd changer have to be matching?? i.e the same make??
My dad got hold of a multichanger and it's a different make to his head unit and he wants to know if it will work with a standard lead, if there is a standard lead!
I have no idea about this so thats why I'm asking you clever chaps :)
Rob.

Might help if you post up the brand and model of the headunit and cd changer to check compatibility.
Donato on here is pretty good with I.C.E so might be worth PM'ing him.

Just presumed so because you always post replies on ICE and you seem to sell ICE stuff periodically. Put 2 and 2 together and got 5 obviously. Apologies.
You should get a reply from someone on here tonight I'd have thought. If not then give any decent car audio place a ring....I'd avoid ringing Halfrauds tho lol.

I still haven't got hold of my dad. I think its a cheap head unit, Clarion cd changer.

As long as your head unit has phono IN connections, and the Clarion has phono OUT connections there is no reason why they won`t work together.
Mine is a matched Pioneer system using the iLink connections, but everything still has phono in and out connections too so they can be used with other equipment.
Hope that helps

I have done a bit of searching and going by the info supplied on a site who was selling the identical model changers, you can get a universal lead from halfords that will connect them.
I hope that helps.
