I've had a second hand throttle body powdercoated and im having some problems getting the car to idle properly. I think that i've put it back together correctly and the butterflys are closing properly. The car is hunting between 1.4k and 1.7k revs on tick over, even when warm and sounds like it is struggling. I've tried the TPS in positions between 0.35v and 0.7v on VTS1 and it doesn't make any difference. I've repositioned the cold running screw to match the original setup and its made no difference.
I think i've got a good air seal between all the joints.
I've just run out of time, because the car is too warm to take off the coolant pipes to swap back to the original throttle body, which if i do the setup is fine again.
Has anybody got any ideas where im going wrong ???
I'll probably swap it back next weekend and ask pip to install it if all fails !
