hi

i have just found a connector under my drivers seat and need help in findind what it does.

do these cars have seat belt pretensioners or something?

can only find female end by the looks of things
any help would be much appreciated

IIRC its the thing that makes the seatbelt light come on when you havnt got it plugged in. Got rid of mine when fitting the bucket seat anyway and its not a problem.

could just be the cat overheat connector (connects to the sensor that goes through the hole under the drivers seat), or, the seatbelt check light. The seatbelt pretensioners are wired just under the er, seatbelt mech.

edit: well, somethings connected to the seatbelt mech, but yeah.. its not what you're looking for. It's one of the two other things, and most likely the light, if you take a pic of it then i can tell you right away as i have no carpets in the car and theres connectors all over the shop :)

i reckon its the cat sensor one then as no probem with the seat belts as far as i am aware

If its the cat overheat one then you can check easy enough, look for a rubber grommet in the floor of the car almost centre under the seat just off to the left (as you're sitting down) and follow that wire and see if the connector matches up.
