whilst checking all the levels today i noticed the rubber seal on the 'rad' cap is split and out of shape, so i'm looking to buy a new one.

my question is..... should i just buy an OEM one from mazda or are there better/cheaper options on the market?

also, whilst im changing the 'rad' cap should i change the ast one too?

and as im thinking of going the whole route and adding samco hoses, shall i get an uprated or just new thermostat whilst im at it???

The AST cap can be bought with different pressure rating (1.3bar) indstead of the OEM .9 (or close to that). DONT GET THE 1.3 version, stick to the OEM .8/.9bar.
Call any of the garages and Im sure they will have one in stock. Costs under £10 im sure.

Never looked at my rad cap so can't coment.
