Hey Guys,

I need to fit a twin plate clutch on an FD, so would like a quality splined alignment tool to make the process easier. Only problem is i can't find anywhere in the uk that sells one for an FD:( So does anyone know of a place, have one lying around or know the size/type i need?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Paul:)

you dont need 1,all the clutch stays on the gear box spline,it bolts to the fly wheel after you put the gear box back on

It's an OS Giken twin plate, so uses a pull to push converter. So unfortunately to do the job properly i will need one :(

Cheers,

Paul

If you can wait till next week as I need it this week l can post you a spigot shaft cut out of a Mazda gearbox, I think this is probably the only way you will line this type of clutch up completely accurately.

The other way is to put this type of assembly up is by eye, leave the pressure plate loose then tighten it up through the access hole after you wiggle the gearbox in.

Hope this helps.

Cheers Clive, I'll give the loose cover method a go this evening, and if that doesn't give any joy then I may have to take you up on the offer :)
