Finally got the new supercharger from the US for the 20b FD, it flows 1850 cfm as opposed to 1000 that the other one did. Supposed to be capable of 1200 hp as opposed to 600.
With the new blower, charge cooler, bigger pipe work, rebuilt and ported engine we should see some increases in power. Made 340 rwhp at 8 psi on the tired stock engine, the exhaust sleeves have been 'machined' to make them non existent in comparison to the stock ones. The plates have all been ported and both the UIM and the LIM have been seriously modified and ported. Going for a larger throttle body but still waiting for that.

the new rad is made and has 2 16inch electric fans, each sucking 3300 cfm of air, which is some serious sucking
The pulley is home made as is the rad,
The UIM has the plenum chopped off and is gonna have a new one made.

yes it is glen, works like a turbo, so you get a boost curve and not instant max boost. The only thing is getting to produce enough low down but not too much up top. Its good for 30 psi at the max rpm.

Those exhaust ports look huge. Are you sure the apex seals will survive with that little support?

The exhaust ports that you can see in the piccy do not have the sleeves in. They were removed for machining, they are not that big on the inside. The exhaust port is not much different to a healthy port on a 13, the main thing was the very restrictive sleeve which is similar to old the EGI engine. Much better now!!!

the UIM has the new plenum welded on and polished,
Some pics of the centre and end plates with a little healthy porting.
All the parts laid out ready to go back together.
We were hoping to put it back together this weekend but when we removed the bearing from the centre stationary gear to replace it we realised its not the same as the two end ones and we didnt have one!!
we have fitted two cosmo oil coolers (cosmo has one normally), and they are all attached to the rad which also has the charge cooler radiators attached to it and the whole lot attaches to the front of the car like a bumper...... hope fully we wont hit anything up the chuff!

That bolt or red thingamy bob looks a fair bit of work & fun to make!!!
Fits rather snug behind the VS bumper. should be interesting when it's done!!
