I've been thinking...........
Why do the IC pipes come frome the turbos, entre the bottom of the IC and exit from the top to the plenum?
The reason I ask is because everyone knows hot gas rises (along with other gasses :o ) ....... if you put the hoses the other way around would the air entering the plenum be cooler as the cold air sinks to the bottom of the IC??

there is so much air flowing through an IC that this is not going to be an issue...nice thinking though

Most intercoolers have the inlets and outlets at the samer height. Plus most cores are designed to flow air better one way than another.

I was just wondering because I've got a standard IC at the moment!!
