had my boot resprayed recently by a bodyshop who had only weeks prior carried out some body and paint work after some tool crashed into the back of the FD. the first job was very good, good colour match, very happy with the work. the boot was in poor condition, and i wanted it done, so went back and again it looked like a decent job. however, 6 weeks on there is a clear colour difference and it looks to have faded, so much so that people query the two colours  i know red can be hard to match, but come on! have spoken to the bodyshop and they have kindly agreed to take a look and hopefully they will re-spray it, and there will be no more of this two tone banditry!!

has anyone else had problems like this??

and how much would you expect to pay for a re-spray of the front end of the FD??

Thanks

I don`t know anything about paint etc, but to give you an idea on spray costs.
I am getting a full respray on my car, inc the engine bay, fitting of new bodyparts, a few other little jobs (and possibly my dash, centre console etc sprayed too if I can wrangle it) for £1600.
That includes the import of the paints too.

I hope that gives you a figure to go on.

prices depend on location as with most things in this country..matching red is only hard when the remaining paint has faded more generally bonnet and boot and roof as they take the brnt of the weather but a good sprayer will give a very good match and again depends on the sprayer
