Tail Light Problem...

Hi Guys,

Seem to have found a small light problem that was picked up at the MOT. When the headlights are on and I hit the brakes one of the brake lights on the left side goes out instead of brightening up...however with the headlights off all tail lights work just fine.

Any ideas what might cause this...just a short or something? Haven't really had time to investigate properly but wondered if somebody had any thoughts before I start ripping wires out.

Sounds like a bad earth connection to me...it was a very common problem on the the old fords ie capri escort fiestas...

A ground somewhere was kind of what I was thinking as electrical problem tend to lean towards things not being grounded correctly, was sure it was working ok beforehand though...one way to find out now I guess and that's test things.
