Err the power supply is different??
So the usa doesn't run 12 volt cars then :rollin
Do you mean the power connector? if you do then cut it of and solder the wires.
Unless you have ordered a 24 volt unit then you will be fine with the voltage supply. You will need a frequency expander to get the radio to recieve any thing thou. I don't know if the japanese expanders are on the same frequency's, speak to a us car importer and they should be able to do you a expander.

i expect he meant it would not come with the idiot proof ISO connector that most cars have these days.

As long as it has a manual you will be fine

A Frequency expander is not needed for a radio from the US.

It covers all the required frequencies but increases in 2Khz steps from and odd number so you can only tune in to frequencies that have an odd number after the decimal point.

For example:

99.3 or 99.5 or 99.9 are ok but it's impossible to get 102.4 or 100.00

I have one in my RX from the US. It's the same one that the Spirit R had in it (but American and not Japanese). It's good as it's a 6 disc in dash changer and I only miss out on the local radio station!

Mark.
