mornin all,
i went to halfrauds on sat and found some lovely JBL 6x9's on a half price offer £30, so i thought i would get them for the rex.
went to replace whatever was in the sides of the rear seats to find that you can only fit little rouns ones in!!!! (dont know the size?)(found some spangly Carrozier ones in mine which was quite pleasing).
so after i had a brief swearing fit , and refitted the trim and bits (what a crap job!!) i had a think.
i have now fitted these in the rear flip down seat back.
took it off, stripped the cover (carefully), chopped 2 holes in the sponge, screwed the speakers in to the back plate, connected the up, re-fitted the covers nice and tight, re-fixed the seat, plumed her in to the stereo and WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!
so anyone who hasnt got a parcel shelf and wants to fit some speakers, this is a gerat place to do it. Took about 1.5 hours.
