This will almost certainly get no replies, but it's worth a shot... ;)
The recirc button on my FD wasn't doing anything, so, in the true spirit of "I haven't anything better to do today" I decided to try and fix it. To cut a long story short, I traced the problem to the small motor which pushes the flap open and shut. Many grazed knuckles later, motor out, taken apart and cleaned, it works again, hooray! :cool
In the meantime I had removed the dash entirely (don't ask  ) and now found out why the motor hadn't been working: there are 2 flaps in the air blower box, which are supposed to work together, but the mechanism has separated/broken and so the first flap gets caught on the second one. And you have to take the whole blower box out to get at the mechanism.
So, has anyone ever had to take the blower box out before? And how did you do it? Is it possible to take the blower box out by itself, or do you have to take the air conditioning box out as well? Can you do this without depressurising the aircon first?
I'm hoping that some of you who run garages :wave will be able to help me out here as I'm pretty sure that this is not a common problem...
Many thanks in advance for any help, it is appreciated!
