Hi.Got the RE engine, and soon it will be finished. But missing some parts.
What kind of air flow meter do the 13b-re use ? Can I use a air flow meter from a nother type of rx7 ? Do some one have an picture of the engine bay? Or peraps an picture of the intake/ air flow meter of a 13b-re? Would be greatly apriciated.

If its the same as the 20b engine version then i've got one in the shed someware. If someone can give you a part number then i'll check the one i've got.

Hard to find ANY info on the 13b-re engine. But lets say the 13b-re uses the same air flow meter as the 20b ( thats a mighty nice engine, by the way) , what do you want for your air flow meter.

I 'll dig through my parts store at the weekend solong as i can find it you can have it for the cost of postage. If Tim's reading this he may be able to tell you the part number from his 13b Cosmo

Sorry for the delay getting back to you it took some finding amongst my spare's supply. Mazda part number is NFD1 13 210. When you reply to Dave's response on Ausrotary check with him if it will fit.

hi. The 13b cosmo engine air flow meter part nr are: N390-13-210.
So itīs kind of the same :) But dont know if there are some differences . Dont know if the N390 thing means something, but the rest of the part nr is the same. Some luck, itīs the same air flow meter.

Bad news as regards airflow meter they look identical but are calibrated differently internally and are not compatable. It may be worth you putting a mail in the wanted section of Ausrotary as a lot of those lads run aftermarket ECU's and dont use the airflow meter. Have you thought of running aftermarket engine management yourself as it means you can get rid of the rats nest and simplify the setup.

The air flow meters are the same unit for the 20B-REW + 13B-REW however, the internal calibration is different.

13B-REW = N390
20B-REW = NF01

The actual calibration difference is in the spring tension. If you use a 13B unit on a 20B, your engine runs rich as the lower spring tension allows greater travel of the pod & giving the ECU a false air volume reading. I assume using a 20B AFM on a 13B would be the opposite.
