Could be wrong, but isn't the horn live in the vicinity? I was led to believe the horn push completes the circuit to ground.
Hope this helps.

Right I think I got one , air con relay
Didn't want to use anything from an essential system , air con should do the trick

Vampire tap is one of those little connectors you use to tap a cable into another , also called blade connectors or IDC's
If you still aint got a clue what I'm on about I'll get you a piccy tomorrow
Intercooler fans are now up and running , we'll see how effective they are when I get the rest of the engine together again , by then I'll also have the intercooler duct extended , heat sheilding and cold air intake done and hopefully the CO2 spraybar will be half done :D its sure going to get chilly in there , once the WI is installed aswell there'll be icicles in the throttle body :yes

in a related subject...
I need to find a live feed to wire up the bulb for my new boost gauge....
I am assuming I can take one from the headlight feed from the ignition loom... or is there somewhere easier... interior light switch?....
and the earth wire can be fed into the other earth wires I assume.... onto the wings?....
any advice warnly welcomed....

i take it that you have an FD - take it from the back of the dash dimmer switch
so when you dim the dash the gauge dims aswell
if its an FC i spliced mine from the back of the bulb on the fag lighter
hopw this helps

grinder....
that is a damn fine plan... the dimmer switch... haha why didnt I think of that...
bonza
is it easy to get to... do I have to remove the dash board at all or can I reach it from underneath?...
and I assume that will already be fused so I dont need to fit a fuse?... is that correct?...
will post pictures when it is all done with a quick read through of what I did and how I did it...
will mkake a few people laugh at least!!!
cheers for the help

why not splice into the ignition live wire at the ignition?
Didn't want to have to run a cable through the bulkhead , all sorted now and works a treat
