hi all, :god :xconfused
i am after a bit of advice as i have jus bought an in dash alpine screen for the t2 an i wanna know if anybody has an idea of how to bypass the hand/brake foot/break viewing lock on the unit so mates an most of all my 8yr old daughter can play ps2 or watch a dvd while i am driving.it says in the manual it can be done but will not say how.
any ideas wud be great thanx guys as my car is in bits as i gotta re-do most of my wiring to my 2amps an eq an my car is in bits now in the garage, typical, think it's gonna take a couple of hours to hook up then find out there are no rca's on head unit an all of my wiring goes to the dash so got seats out carpet up to move it all into the small boot where the box goes that recieves the dvd sat nav ps2 etc.
cheers guys

hummmmmm not sure how that works to be honest - how does it know that your handbrake is on ??

if it checks for voltage ( which it might so ) can you not spike the perm live onto the handbrake check wire - it should then think that its on all the time

or the other way - does that wire need to be earthed - if so - spike it into the earth feed

if you know where the feed line goes - get a multi meter on it - and check what its doing - then work it out from there

hope this helps ( prob wont though !! )

is it using a pal signal or NTSC one ? one is 50hz scan and the other is 60Hz.

might be setting on the X-box to switch the output ?

tried switchin the output an that didn't work, tried another home dvd player an same difference.thing is with no dvd player attached the screen is obviously blank but not rolling so i am thinkin it is either because the dvd players have been run straight off the mains or it is the receiver that u plug it all into that maybe faulty.will have towait till monday to get it checked out now.
