The answer is yes!!

Not many people have done it, City Performance Centre (http://www.cityperformancecentre.com) in Sydney Australia have. It is a 3 rotor also, built by Alec Bell in New Zealand.

Dennis Marquis' drag car has made over 1000h/p on a Chassis dyno, and 1200h/p on an engine dyno.

Will this car be the first rotary in the world to run a 6 second 1/4 mile pass?

Wasn't the 787B race car a PP turbo ? or was it N/A ??

I think theres a 12a powered car running 8 second 1/4's so a PP 3 rotor should easily put out more power than that

Hi Mike,

Yes the 787B was a 4 rotor PP - but no turbo (Naturally Aspirated engine).

There is/has been a myth around for some time - that you cannot run a turbo engine with overlapping ports like that of a PP engine. Most think you can only run a mild port with bigger exhaust ports.

You would obviously have to know what you are doing though :-)

.ps That car of Boris Rojas' is pretty awesome - further details are at Rotary News (http://www.rotarynews.com/view.php3?article=20020801.html)
