2 seater T2's?

Can anyone tell me if the Rx7 Turbo 2 was built in 2 seater form and sold in the Uk?

I am thinking of buying the Storage boxes etc from a US 2 seater so i can get rip of the back seats which with a cage will be usless.

I would strip all the Carpets out etc but i dont want to go painting the inside of the car and it looks untidy :(

So fitting the 2 seater storage boxes would be a good way of sorting it out.

are the 2 rear seats usable, i know the 3rd gens are virtually impossible to use, especially if the drivers 6ft+.

you might be able to arrange a swap with someone in the US ... they are always after seats .. I thought about doing it with mine but shipping is expensive

They are a little better than a Third gen but i'm adding a Cage so i dont think even a Kid could get in let alone out again.

i was thinking more of me(selfish i know:D ) and whether i could take 2 friends, ie one in the front and one in the back. How long could someone travel in the back?

Its possable.

I have had three people in my car (Two in the back) once in there ok, lots of head room etc and the seat is Bucketed so your knee's arnt stuck in your chin like the FD but its funny watching them get out when the legs start to go numb!.

But dont get me wrong i would not like to go very far in the back! my pasengers where winging after 3-4 miles due to the hard suspension and not alot of padding.
