OK I give up theres gonner be loads of 2nd gens going
really cheap soon with rebuilt engines resprays, mods,
wheels and stuff , because no one in the uk can mend the
ABS on me old TII.
They will fail the MOT and off to the scrap yard.
Right sorry got that off my chest.
Has any one tried removing the ABS and left the master cyl.
in place, woul it still fail the MOT if it has some fittings left on?
Im geting desperate 6weeks to MOT

take the bulb out the warning light

or if that doesn't fool them wire the bulb to another idiot light that comes on with the accesory position but goes off when the car starts ;)

Paul,
Have a look on nopistons.com and teamfc3s.org and enter ABS removal into the search engine.

Great I'll take alook, the car now has an MOT ,
I took out the lamp, pump fuse, & comp. fuse and car passed ok.
Now either cos. the lamp did 'nt come on & the pump did'nt
keep trying to prime up and they thought it was ok,
or they did'nt realise it had ABS, I dont know (was'nt going to
ask)
Still wont have to worry for an year now!!
