Not sure whether I should post this here or in the FS section:confused:
I know for a 4 door 1300 saloon up for sale in the Heathrow area.
It was bought on Ebay a year or more ago but has been parked up in the meantime.
The guy wants to sell it on as he's lost interest/needs the space.
AFAIK it starts and moves but has no MOT or Tax.There are no pics.
I've only talked to the guy via Email, but I do have a mobile number.
Anybody seriously interested please PM or Email.
Rich;)

if its the one I think it is he paid £125 for it on ebay and bought it from a chap called eddie who lives near louth (Ratdat). And it will have a fairly sound chassis but needs the bottom of all 4 doors sorting out. ... does that sound like the same car ?

Could well be Mike -I really dont remember the details.:(
The guys telling me that he paid £275 for it.
A lack of space prevents me from going for it:rolleyes:
If anyones interested I think I've got a set of 4 tidy doors.

Hey Gord, I would love this beastie but unfortunantly the distance between Mull and heathrow ( where i think it is?) is huge. And to be honest I would probably be better hanging out for one with mot.
Also our pottery was broken into the other day and amount stolen from money box was pretty much the purchase price of this 1300. Not real into island life at the moment:(

If anyone is really keen, I could go and have a look for you, I live about 20mins from Heathrow. I am by no means an expert, but if you tell me what to look for, I can go and look.
I also have a "no more cars" ban!

No Mike, thats not the one.
If you thought Gordons and mine were comparatively rare then this one is even more so I would think.
Why? Because its an early STB shape, not the later FA3 shape like Gordons and mine.
It'll have a norrower body and square headlamps, amongst other differences.
Have to keep an eye on this.

seriously thinking of asking the seller a question and pointing out the high bidders feedback ! ...or is that just a little bit evil ?
is anyone seriously after it ? if not has anyone got any space ... we could all chip in and save it !

Richard
12th August 2005, 07:41 PM
I'd buy it no problem but I suffer the same problem as a lot of people - no space :(
I'll go along with the group buy tho', so count me in for £20

Cmon Club commitee, can you help in any way? This is turning into a club car, can the club park it somewhere for us?
clive
14th August 2005, 02:38 PM
I am sure the Club would help fund this if it was to be turned into a replica R100 by someone as it would be a little odd for us to sponsor a boinger, wouldn't it ?

well it didn't go to the the banger racer anyway !
I hope it doesn't just disapear off the face of the earth like most of these cars on ebay do.

Just got an email from Kev, the guy who bought this last 1300 (the early one).
He lives Newcastle way and, according to him, his mate was supposed to collect and deliver the car from Kent.
This hasnt happened so the car is back up for sale at the £106.
Anyone interested contact him via email
mailto :kac311261@hotmail.com.
or phone 01914 206139
I cant vouch for the guy one way or another - all I'm doing is passing on the info
Cheers,
Rich ;)
