Hey Jase

Quote from Dave the MOT man over on the FDUK forum in a thread titled "THE most beutiful RX3 EVER !!!":

"Gordon Anderson has just brought the most gorgeous car to my
garage.

It will be at Rotorstock for all who want to see it all I
can say is it's PINK and it's VERY BLING !!! WOW !!"

I guess Gordy got there at least!

gord got there and gord got home ok:D

and the journey was 450 of the 500 k's recommended running in distance :D :D and the car is amazing once you get a good grip on the reigns. with my foot just resting on the loud pedal i was hooting along... can't wait to floor it....:D

had a couple of problems throughout the day, but fortunately the first was at tvmot and one of dave's guys ('get you home') fixed it.
the second problem occured in the yard of a certain mr carl hayward, who took time (that he didn't have) to again fix it enough to get me home.

so the long & short of it is car is mot'd, paperwork is in the hands of the dvla, and all things considered i should be road legal by the end of the week.

oh and dave tvmot, and carl hayward? bloody legends the two of them. woulda been screwed today without their patience and understanding. thank you both very much.

gord.

hehe yeah he did. when i got back from dvla he asked me to get it out of his yard, cause he didn't like the attention diverted from his fd :p

and toes. it's a 48hr service in theory, so i should be getting those plates made up on friday:)

tbh (but keep it to yourself) if i don't have 'em by saturday, i'm gonna drive up anyway. today gave me the confidence (maybe stupidly).

i drove m5 - m4 cheltenham to reading and back and only got stopped once in reading town centre (lost :D)
cop pulled me over full of attitude blazing about plates, tax disk (shouting over the rotor :) )
when i told him it was import, en route to mot, insured yada yada he was still ****ed, but just gave me directions to dave's and left:p

another cop car cruised right by on the motorway. musta been their teabreak:rolleyes:

and i live really close to rotorstock... maybe a dead of night operation would be in order...

suppose it wouldn't hurt to borrow some plates from the 818 ... its close enough :D

not that I would suggest that ... only a joke of course.

It is indeed a beautiful car. The last two owners both drag race in Australia now, and whilst we all love their cars, the old 12ENV from Queensland is still missed.

It took the original builder and his father years to build, and it shows.
