..friday 13th really sucked for me today.:reallymad
made me reconsider my lack of superstition.

first - new settee arrived today, after a long wait since purchase (6th april) and the trucky managed to drive his truck into the back of the 818. bad ding in wing, and smashed indicator.

then, the lads unloaded the new settee, carried it into my living room and sped off. now, it's one of those 2 piece corner jobbies and the retards in the factory managed to make me a combination of pieces that cannot be pushed together into a corner unit. like, the arm of one bit is at the wrong end. it doesn't even work as an opposite corner. i've got two completely incompatible units. and seeing as they're 'made to order', the result of several long tiresome phonecalls was 'we'll get the right piece made up for you. we'll give you a ring when it's ready'.
better not be another 6 weeks:reallymad

hope you guys all had a better day.

and while i'm here, does anyone know if i can replace the indicator lens alone or if the lot comes in a cluster?

gord.

yeah hopefully.
got the driver to acknowledge he did it, called their office straight away and they advised to claim in writing.
so i wrote a letter and stuck in a photo of the damage for good measure.
and sent it recorded;)

I hope they realise how hard it is to get parts for classic cars .... and that is reflected in what they pay out, is it insured with an agreed value ?

Mate that there is crap! I hope they pay up for a replacement. Mind you finding one could be quite tricky.
Good luck with it.
