Interesting to note that they change quite a few parts between the low power and high power applications

Yes, that does seem unusual, as many manufacturers seem to just have an ECU change between different power applications.
Very obviously not the case here!

It would be interesting to see what the mechanical differences are when people start breaking/rebuilding engines, unless someone has detailed schematics perhaps?

I would guess by looking at the bits that they change that the difference between hi and low power would be

1. larger ports (hence different side plates and gaskets)
2. stationary gears selected to be within a tighter tolerance/ or stronger ? to cope with the increased RPM's My guess is tighter tolerances as they mention A and B markings
