i don't think we got any different models in the UK ... just an RX7 and you added on whatever extras you wanted/were available ... I don't think we even got the option of an auto ?

i've read in various books and american site/forums about how thw rx-7 can struggle to pass emission tests. Is that true in this country? or are they more leniant with the tests? and will a rotary pass an emissions test with a street port or does it have no chance?

Hi Richard,
UK cars only came in one spec fully loaded !!, officaly known as European spec they came with sun roof, cruse air con etc easy to spot as they have a rectangular rear No plate not a square one, they are all badged as just RX-7s .
l beleive there are 15 different models (3rd Gen) to have come out of Japan with the closest one to a UK car being the type X ie top spec , a lot just seem to have say a suspension upgrade then are given a different designation .
There were only ever 124 brought into country officaly from Mazda ( l know because they told me ) from 92 to 96, the 0 to 60 depends on where you read some say 4.9 some 5.1 or 5.2?
Hope this helps .
All the Best Clive.
