Suggestions for 22 YOA Insurance

i know AON do discounts via the club for 25 year olds, but where is suggested for under 25's?? (i'm 22)
I may need insurance for a lightly modified import.
So far i'm thinking-

Liverpool Victoria

i've said it before about 100 times i know but elephant.co.uk quoted me 1100 fully comp with 2 yrs no claims clean licence etc. If any company can beat that fai enough but it'll be tough i think

I was using CK as broker when I insured my FD with AON. I found them to be the most unhelpful bunch of idiots. Half the time they never bothered ringing me back with answers. And when I had to claim they basically said "this is the number of the insurance company - you ring them and sort it out" - cheers then!

I'm in the middle of another CK f#ck up atm; I wont go into it on here as it's too bloody annoying to repeat!! Needless to say WHEN they finally sort things out I will NEVER use them again!

Good luck to any one who gets a good deal out of them. I will go direct to AON next time, I cannot speak highly enough of them.

Directline insure me, was 22 when I got it, think they are linked to Tesco's but worth playing them off each other.:D

Just did exactly that! they use the same underwriters (and are part of the same company - RBS).
Directline will not insure against theft unless a Tracker + Cat 1 is fitted. Tesco only requires a Cat 2 and the prices were roughly the same.
But...I call Admiral who smashed everyone by £150 - with a lowesh excess.
I am an over 30 driver with clean license.

from Japan 1992 FD Type R - not modded (yet).
Admiral will also allow Mods but of course it increases premiums.

BTW - just added my wife to the policy and it dropped by another £35 - wicked!!! She only had her license for 4 years with a claim recently...not sure how that worked out.....

I've phoned Liverpool Victoria for a quote on an FD import with smart alloys and after market exhaust, I'm 24 with clean licence and 5+ years no claims.

The woman on the other end said she couldn't quote me because due to the engine capacity I had to be over 30yrs old!!:xconfused

And I'm sure I've read here somewhere that Tesco's give good quotes until they hear the car is an import, then the price nearly doubles!?

I'm 22 and was quoted reasonbly with Adrian Flux. They were a little more than Tesco but once i started listing mods Flux were much better.
