Here we are folks....

Some of the first pics.....i still have to finnish off the sub box area 9the sides and just below....but everything is in and wired up.

heres the power cable from the battery (with fuse holder), the cable goes down to the gromit we used to send it thro...

http://board.hondacrx.co.uk/phpBB2/modules/gallery/albums/dannorton/DSC00919.sized.jpg

the cable goes thro the gromit where those two pipes/cables go into the footwell....

http://board.hondacrx.co.uk/phpBB2/modules/gallery/albums/dannorton/DSC00920.sized.jpg

this is where the cable actually comes thro into the cabin ( you need 2 of you, one to feed it thro the gromit and one to bring it in the inside), see the middle nut....up from there just behind a bit of carpet about 2 inches up is where it comes thro....

http://board.hondacrx.co.uk/phpBB2/modules/gallery/albums/dannorton/DSC00926.sized.jpg

this is the jl audio components, it needed the 3/4 mdf ring behind it as they have quite big magnets on them....this is temporary until i finnish me fibreglass door builds....

http://board.hondacrx.co.uk/phpBB2/modules/gallery/albums/dannorton/DSC00927.sized.jpg

look at this.....the early stages of putting the amps and wiring in....all over the place....

http://board.hondacrx.co.uk/phpBB2/modules/gallery/albums/dannorton/DSC00921.sized.jpg

and this is the finnished amp rack....

http://board.hondacrx.co.uk/phpBB2/modules/gallery/albums/dannorton/DSC00933.sized.jpg

this is the sub box at the moment....gonna finnish it off tomorrow, i have some pieces to fit on the side of the box, and the bottom of it, so you dont see any wires or the power invertor etc...

http://board.hondacrx.co.uk/phpBB2/modules/gallery/albums/dannorton/DSC00935.sized.jpg

I'm still not too sure whether to re-trim the sub box in a dark colour or not....i ilke the red in the boot, i think it could be a tad too much behind my bright red seats aswell.

i'll get some finnished pics up tomorrow hopefully

Cheers,

Dan!!

Just out of interest what size cable are you running to the distribution block and the amps ? You may want to fit a circuit breaker in the engine bay, much faster response.

Have you uprated the ground lead yet ?

Bet it will sound nice and loud :)

Just out of interest, did the half cage come with your car? if not what is it and where did you get it from? also did you have any problems insuring your motor with it in? anyway looks sweet :cool

Paul

Hi, its a Border half cage, i got it from a yahoo japan auction when my japanese firend lived over here....i cant get bits off there anymore :( , the fit is spot on with it!!

the insurance people were cool with it....they was more concerned it was a full cage that was welded in type job.

cant beat a quality sounding system, bet it puts a smile on your face each time u turn it on :D

ive started mine today, got the box in place (stuck with single 10") and then built the flooring around it and also so that it still gives me access to spare wheel...

going to carry on tomorrow...will post pics up soon

Where did u get your red covering? is it leather? was your roll bars sprayed red before you got the car?

Heres the install finnished.....

hope you like......i'm not going to get rid of the red, it seems to have contrasted well with the black buffalo skin.

Babz- the red is just accoustic cloth that you can get from the ICE shops, and the black in buffalo skin look i got from www.fabricuk.com.

i painted the roll bar red before i put it in the car.

The visor screens sound like they should look pretty damn cool - what are they, and how much work were they to fit? What do you use them for?
