I will get some pictures as soon as i have tided it all up....plus, i'm gonna re-trim it again, theres toooo much red going on, so i have ordered some grey suede instead:rolleyes:
Its sounds incredible :D .....well chuffed, but too be honest, i think i have made the box to small....either that.... or maybe split the box in 2 halfs, it seems one sub fights the other a little bit
I have made it so they fire in one chamber....maybe re work that.
Yes, the subs are right behind the front seats, so all the sound is in the front part of the cabin, which is what i aimed for....to give an idea how big the box is......the width of the rear seat upright, the depth of the box is from the rear strut bar upto the front seats (bear in mind i have fixed buckets now), and the height is from the transmission tunnel to well above the rear strut bar.....seeing in the mirror is a struggle.
i was advised to use 0 guage cable, but after seeing it in the flesh, i thought i better not.....its is incredibly thick and heavy, so i had a look on jl audio's website and they said 4 gauge was ok to use (at the least)
we found a gromit on the passenger side that we could run the power cable thro....its ok if you have 2 of you, one to feed it thro, and one to bring it into the pass footwell.....its level with the bottom of the glove box in the pass footwell, and behind a bit of carpet....i have some pics....but please bare with me, i'll get them up as soon as.
I have made all of it from mdf, as i want to remove it all for when i do some trackdays this year....so ididnt bother with a fancy fibreglass mould that would be permantly in the car.
Cheers,
Dan!!

my last system was loud, im tempted to go for 2 12s aswell now that you have got them in, need to see how you done them. can you get spare wheel out easily?
my last system:
Alpine MP3 headunit
Cadence 6" mids with JL crossovers
Kenwood tweeters with crossovers
Kenwood 6x9s
Kenwood 7x10s
2 x 15" Rockford Fostgate DVC Punch subs
2 x Kenwood PS401 1200w Mono block class D amps
kenwood 600w 4 channel amp
Crossover for mids, back speakers and sub with front mounted sub frequency control
1.5 Farad power cap
2nd car battery - Red top Optima
Split charging system
it was loud and very very clear...love my sound systems...

Yea, i will try to get pics up tomorrow evening!
The only problem i found, was trying to get 2 12"'s in and get the required volume for the box.....there really isnt that much space to work with:eek:
i have my amps in the back, and you could get the spare out if you took everything out.....but i think the spare space saver with the rx7 are rubbish, i dont think my car would drive even with it on as i have 18"s....(10 " wide rears and 9" wide fronts), so i have some decent aa cover instead :D
Bloody hell, that was one hell of a system....what car was that in???
Cheers,
Dan!!

the box is very important with subs...is your box ported?
you seriously got me thinking of going from one 10" to 2x10"/12"
had all my last system in an e30 325i, still got that car, love them...
i got AA cover but will have to make sure its half decent cover...lol
are you coming to Rotorstock? if so please bring the sound system with you :D
i should have mine done by then, uni just gets in the way of everything

2 10's would be easier to work with for sure.
Box is sealed.....maybe port it do you think?....or re-work the box all togther.....if i did port it, it would need to bigger anyway.
i love e30 325's....was in notts today actually picking up a replacement unit for the time being....from caraudio center.
Well my aim is deffinalty for rotorstock....its gonna be push and go as i still havnt got all my stuff from the usa for my turbo conversion (the guy is still waiting for the custom fuel rail to be delivered)....so hopefully wgt can get it done before rotorstock.....i'lll be gutted if i miss it. :(

2 x 10s would be easier...i think this months wages have just disappeared on 2 subs, lol
ported boxes are usually good for pushing air and cus the boot is part of the car think ported would be best...
gotta get mine to WGT for the power fc and re-map ready for rotorstock...hopefully you will get yours done...
if you ever in notts again just drop me a message...im usually just rolling about :cool
ps, my 325i

Cool....those apexi power fc's are great arnt they...i have ready to go in aswell:D
Do you not get a different sound with ported boxes tho?
Lovley 325....i love the old e30 shape, my dad had a 325 i sport....i loved it.
See this purple e36 roll up to that shop in notts yesterday, had some work done to it....smoothed sides, some sort of wide arches, massive wheels, looked like breytons, cream leather, somsorta custom bootlid.....looked really really nice.
Yea, no doubt i willl be in notts again, so i will pm ya deffinatly.
Cheers,
Dan!!
