Hi All,

I'm currently looking into buying a Rx7 to replace my Pulsar GTi-R in about a year, but i want to learn as much as i can about them before i start shopping for a car. Can someone point my in the direction of a good website for explaining, first basically, then in detail, how and why the rotary engine works. i have the gist on how it works, but i need to know more.
Then i need as much info on the Third Generation Rx7 that i can get.
I've looked at the buying guide in Japanese Performance, and it says that they are strictly 2 seaters, but the first one that i have seen on a imports site is a 2+2, so i need to clarify some details.

Thanks for all your help

Matt

P.S What does FD stand for? Sorry for my ignorance

Hi Matt!

There are many great websites out there with tons of information, here are a few (also look in the "Club Links" section of the mazdarotaryclub.com site):

* www.rx7forum.com (http://www.rx7forum.com) - a must
* www.mazdarx8.co.uk (http://www.mazdarx8.co.uk) - good pics and info. on how the engine works.
* www.scuderiaciriani.com/rx7 (http://www.scuderiaciriani.com/rx7/)
* www.rotaryengineillustrated.com (http://www.rotaryengineillustrated.com)
* www.rotarytop150.com (http://www.rotarytop150.com)

The list goes on...

The Japanese Imports are 2 + 2 seaters, but the back seats are very small. The UK cars have storage bins in the back.

What does FD mean? great question!!! The previous model RX-7 was an FC, now FD - I'm not sure of the acutal reason why this is. But someone out there will know.

Hope this helps.
